Aurmur has closed down

Aurmur has closed down

After 8 years of business, we have made the difficult decision to close down Aurmur.

What’s happening and when

The Aurmur service will stop working on October 1, 2026.
After that date, the app and your account will no longer be accessible.

On October 1, 2026, all subscription payments made in September will be refunded.

Do I need to do anything?

No. Your subscription will be cancelled automatically. You can keep using Aurmur normally until it goes offline on October 1, 2026.

Other lock options for Airbnb hosts

Smart lock keypad
  • Airbnb’s built-in smart lock integration. For listings in the US and Canada, Airbnb connects directly to compatible Wi-Fi locks from Schlage, Yale, and August (the lock needs a keypad or touchscreen — Bluetooth-only models will not work). In your listing’s Arrival guide, set the check-in method to Smart lock, choose Connect, and sign in to your lock’s app. Airbnb then issues each guest a unique code that is only active during their stay, with no code changes between bookings — plus arrival notifications and separate codes for co-hosts and cleaners. This is the closest replacement for Aurmur and needs no third-party service.
  • The SmartThings app directly. You can add and remove guest codes yourself in the SmartThings app under the lock’s settings, and automate them with Routines. It will not read your reservation calendar the way Aurmur did, but it is free and uses the hub and lock you already have.
